Supersonic 950mph B-1B Taking Off

Breathtaking photo of a B-1B taking off

Supersonic you say? I can run faster then that!…maybe not

This masterpiece is known as the Supersonic Strategic bomber and is manufactured in USA.

It’s a four-engine variable-sweep wing, jet-powered strategic bomber used by the United States Air Force (USAF). It was first envisioned in the 1960s as a bomber with Mach 2 speed, and sufficient range and payload to replace the Boeing B-52 Stratofortress. It was developed into the B-1B, primarily a low-level penetrator with long-range and Mach 1.25 speed capability at high altitude.

Its maximum speed is Mach 1.25 (about 950 mph or 1,530 km/h at altitude). Pretty amazing.
